I’ve Finally Lost Contact with Reality is a symbolic still life inspired by Katya.

Rather than painting a traditional portrait, I wanted to capture Katya’s wonderfully chaotic world through a carefully chosen collection of objects. From the Contact DVD and Russian doll to the hand-painted tarot cards and red lipstick, every item was selected to reference a different part of her personality, humour and iconic moments.
